PERAN MEDIA MASSA DALAM KONSTRUKSI CITRA POLITISI ANALISIS FRAMING PEMBERITAAN POLITIK DI MEDIA ONLINE INDONESIA

Media massa memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk persepsi masyarakat terhadap politisi melalui berbagai teknik framing dalam laporan berita. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis cara media online di Indonesia membingkai berita politik serta dampaknya terhadap citra para politisi. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis framing berdasarkan model Robert N. Entman, yang mencakup empat elemen utama: identifikasi masalah, interpretasi penyebab, evaluasi moral, dan rekomendasi solusi. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui analisis isi terhadap berita politik yang diterbitkan oleh sejumlah media online terkemuka di Indonesia. Temuan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa media online sering kali menunjukkan bias dalam pelaporan berita politik, yang dipengaruhi oleh berbagai kepentingan, termasuk ekonomi, politik, dan ideologi yang diusung oleh media tersebut. Teknik framing yang diterapkan oleh media memiliki potensi untuk membentuk opini publik, baik dalam memperkuat citra positif maupun menciptakan pandangan negatif terhadap politisi tertentu. Penting bagi para politisi dan tim komunikasi politik untuk memahami dinamika media agar dapat merancang strategi respons yang efektif dalam menjaga atau membangun citra publik yang diinginkan. Dengan memahami cara media membingkai berita, politisi dapat lebih baik dalam merespons isu-isu yang muncul dan memanfaatkan peluang untuk memperbaiki citra mereka di mata publik. Hal ini menjadi semakin relevan di era digital, di mana informasi dapat tersebar dengan cepat dan mempengaruhi persepsi masyarakat secara luas.
