SINERGI POLA ASUH KELUARGA DAN BUDAYA MADRASAH DALAM PEMBENTUKAN KARAKTER RELIGIUS SISWA MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH RADHIYATAN MARDHIYYAH PUTRA BALIKPAPAN

Abstract

The formation of students' religious character is an important part of Islamic basic education that requires continuity between the family environment and the madrasa. This study aims to analyze family parenting patterns, madrasa culture, and the synergy of both in strengthening the formation of students' religious character at MI Radhiyatan Mardhiyyah Putra Pesantren Hidayatullah Balikpapan. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and documentation involving the principal, homeroom teachers, and students' parents as informants selected purposively. Data analysis was conducted through data condensation, data presentation, and drawing and verifying conclusions. The results of the study show that family parenting patterns are manifested through habituation of worship, parental example, guidance, advice and motivation, supervision, as well as the instillation of values of honesty, discipline, responsibility, and trustworthiness. The culture of madrasah is strengthened through habituation of congregational prayers, Dhuha prayers, tahsin and tilawah, memorization and revision of the Qur'an, teacher exemplars, character building, discipline, and social activities. The synergy between family and madrasah occurs through communication, alignment of values, continuity of habituation at home and madrasah, monitoring, guidance, and parental involvement. The obstacles found include busy parents who sometimes neglect to provide guidance to their children, limited communication, use of gadgets and social media, as well as the influence of peer environment. This study emphasizes that the continuity of religious education between family and madrasah is an important element in strengthening students' religious character.
