Abstract

This research is motivated by initial findings during observations, which revealed that students’ ability to understand the material, particularly in the subject of Islamic Cultural History, was still considered less satisfactory. The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of YouTube as a learning medium as a solution to improve students’ comprehension of the material delivered, which can be regarded as valid in terms of media and practical in terms of user experience. The study applies the ADDIE model, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects are teachers and students at MIN 4 Bima. Data were collected through observation and interviews. The results of the validation test of the YouTube learning media conducted by experts and users showed that the overall average was rated as very valid and very practical, motivating both teachers and students, and suitable for use in learning activities.
